What if your own flesh and blood...your own security -that is your father ...your whole clan is being damned and cursed by the whole world because of a heinous crime committed, how would you feel?
I dread thinking what a 10-year old child is going through right now after being put in this cruel twist of fate, or i should say a nightmare. Does he deserve this? It's not like he has a choice,isn't it? Or sometimes I can't help but think that maybe...he might have an inkling already of these possible series of events...having been living even in his early age with the presence of bodyguards... having been trained to use guns/armory on weekends (he told me...) still, i hope and pray that may his family has the heart to shield him of the shocking dreadful news that will surely rip his world apart...he is too young to contain all the chaos and hate around him...
In my encounter with him, I can see a child who is longing for more than what his so-called comfortable life has been offering him....living in a huge house, a mansion...lots of money everyday that causes an envy from his classmates....yup, he can be too boastful at times...bribing friends to get their loyalty using his resources. He even told me once that his family owns a certain entire city....and i told him "Really?How could that be possible?"....And he answered me straight with eyes full of certainty and undivided conviction - "YES"....But I should know better the reason behind this - it is only to get that elusive acceptance he is longing for... I know that deep within him lies a kind-hearted boy who unconsciously longs for a simple life of freedom, happiness,peace and love, just like any ordinary boy of his age....
This phenomena reminded me again of lessons that I have yet to learn...that the world is not govern by all that is superficial and physical. We reap whatever it is we planted, may be bad or good seed....that evil in this world indeed has its own time of reckoning, in small or big doses. As for my 10-year old student, I entrust him to HIM...He is afterall the source of true JUSTICE..knows what is in the heart of each of us even if we ourselves didn't know it yet. I know that his ALLAH will be there for him.

I proctored the Nurses Licensure Board Examination for 2 days..... ah,what a day! I can still recall the examiner's 'tensions' evident on their shaking of fingers,esp. on the 1st hours of the 1st day...fidgeting, croaked voice, etc.
I can pretty well relate to it...was like being put in a hot seat where I myself is being tasked to answer my own tough questions.. of my own life. "What if...??? " It was a life-defining moment..a major crossroad of life...where I begin to doubt my own capability. "What if..???" Then I knew...that's it! ..my knowledge ...
