Sura Al-Jathiya [45:7-9]
45:7 Woe to each sinful dealer in Falsehoods:
45:8 He hears the Signs of God rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous!
45:9 And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty.
Hadith

Sahih Bukhari
Volume 7, Book 62, Number 27:
Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi Allahu Anhu):
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said,
"A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a loser."

Surah Al-Furqan [25:63-67]
25:63 And the servants of (God) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!";
25:64 Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing;
25:65 Those who say, "Our Lord! avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous,-
25:66 "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in";
25:67 Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes);

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith
Hadith 3072
Narrated by Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas (Radi`Allahu Anhu)
Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) visited me when I was ill and asked whether I had made my will. I replied that I had. He asked how much I had willed and when I told him I had willed all my property away to be devoted to Allah's path he asked how much I had left my children. I replied that they were rich and prosperous, whereupon he told me to will away a tenth; but I kept on telling him it was too little till he finally said, "Will away a third, but a third is a lot.
Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Al-Muminun (The Believers) [23:1-11]
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
The believers must (eventually) win through,-
Those who humble themselves in their prayers;
Who avoid vain talk;
Who are active in deeds of charity;
Who abstain from sex,
Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame,
But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors; -
Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants;
And who (strictly) guard their prayers;-
These will be the heirs,
Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever).
Hadith

Sahih Bukhari
Volume 3, Book 34, Number 430:
Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi`Allahu Anhu):
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said,
"Allah says, 'I will be against three persons on the Day of Resurrection:
1. One who makes a covenant in My Name, but he proves treacherous.
2. One who sells a free person (as a slave) and eats the price,
3. And one who employs a laborer and gets the full work done by him but does not pay him his wages.' "

And make not Allah's (name)an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is One Who hears and knows all things. Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts; and He is Oft-forgiving, Most Forbearing.{Suran: Al-baqarah ~ Ayah: 224-225}

to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "
'I have come to you,
with a Sign from your Lord,
in that I make for you out of clay,
as it were, the figure of a bird,
and breathe into it,
and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave:
And I heal those born blind, and the lepers,
and I quicken the dead, by Allah's leave;
and I declare to you what you eat,
and what you store in your houses.
Surely therein is a Sign for you
if you did believe;

Amr b. al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates,
"...When Allah instilled the love of Islam in my heart,
I came to the Apostle (may peace be upon him)
and said:
Stretch out your right hand so that
I may pledge my allegiance to you.
He (may peace be upon him) stretched out his right hand,
I withdrew my hand,
He (may peace be upon him) said:
What has happened to you, O 'Amr?
I replied:
I intend to lay down some condition.
He asked:
What condition do you intend to put forward?
I said:
should be granted pardon.
He (may peace be upon him) observed:
Are you not aware of the fact
that Islam wipes out all the previous (misdeeds)?
Verily migration wipes out all the previous (misdeeds),
and verily the pilgrimage wipes out all the (previous) misdeeds..."
