Music of any kind, in fact ...and the language has never been a barrier to me! I'm fond of soft music only and therefore, mostly listen to pop, blues, and country.

It seems you started a new account since your past 2 accounts have failed to intimidate me. Your accounts and bunkka2144 and gizmo2144 have failed to get attention from me as anyone who cares to look this pervert sets up one day accounts yesterday he was a 30 year old from Lamia Greece and before that 20-something fro France, he seems to like posting and sending nude photos of himself and trying to entice people to be interested in him, he also does not react well when told that he is being juvenile and perverse in his messages. I chose both times to block him from my site, I guess everyday for the rest of my life I can have enjoyment of blocking this person from different accounts each day that feels that I am a bad person for not wanting to see him naked. I've met several people on the net but occasionally there are those small-minded and looking at his photos small in other ways who do not like rejection and expect women to swoon over rude obnoxious perverted behavior. Soon I'll be forced once again to block my page from HTML due to these loser types trying very badly to impress or insult my intelligence. To everyone who wants to believe the worst of me, I'm okay with it. My friends know me. That's why I don't accept so many requests for friendship. The people I turned down are people I don't know and I'm afraid that they are people like Alex, bunkka, or Matt (Same pervert different name different icon. Can't even show his face so he won't get caught by his mom using the computer without her permission and can't stay up too late otherwise, he can't get up for school. I believe he used to deliver pizzas and got fired recently so maybe that's why he got extra time to mess with people online in the last 3 days. I feel sorry for this little boy and hope soon his tantrums will subside, maybe soon puberty will finally kick in and he will someday grow hair and meet a real girl and stop playing Barbis in his room late at night. I believe his mom grounded him from the 1-800 numbers last month and this is why, he has chosen to have a tantrum online, I do however believe that this experience may help him make good enough grades in High School typing class and maybe someday if things work out, he will meet a real girl and have no need of the magazine under his mattress. I am from Hamburg /Germany (that makes me a Hamburger!) and I live in Thailand now.
I am working in tourism, which sounds a lot more glamorous than it really is!

I listen to a big variety of music and a good song (by MY definition) always can get my attention.
The last one to do so was "4 minutes" by Madonna. I am not a big Madonna- fan, as I only like 3 or 4 songs...but that one is "groovy"!

My favorite artists are U2, Kiss, Bruce Springsteen, The GooGoo Dolls, Counting Crows, Prince (...you guessed it: I am over 40 years old!) and some german acts that might not be known to most of you (Kettcar, Michy Reicke, Juli, Wir sind Helden...).

If it comes to Hip Hop...sorry America...I have to tell you that there are some great artists in Germany...some of 'em much better than yours!

Favorite dance tunes are things like "on a night like this" by Kyliiiiiiiiiiiie or "fast love' by George Michael...so more "poppy"!

"You'll see" stuck in my head forever when I had my first heartbreak. There's also "Crazy for you" that had me singin' when I fell inlove to a boy in college.

Prince? LOL! The father of "Dirty" songs, I can't even say it right, the word just can't come out of my mouth. LOL!

You are surprising!!! Golly!! George Michael? I like him but he's more into ballad and pop, right?

I like only few Madonna songs: "Frozen", (the remix of)"What it feels like for a girl"...and some others taht are "ok".

The problem with the "good" german hip hop is, that the lyrics are very important and even the seemingly "funny" stuff is quiet intelligent.

I try to find some examples.

This is by a band called Die Fantastischen 4 or Fanta 4 for short (the fantastic 4) and it is called "Sie ist weg" (she is gone)



This one is bei Housemarke (difficult o translate, since it's a game of words). His real name is Michael Beck and he is part of the Fanta 4. Song is called "Maedchen No.1" (Girl No.1).



These guys are more "gangsta" but the music and the production are just great. It's RHP (Roedelheim Hartreim Project) and the song is "Hoeher, schneller, weiter" (Higher, fster, further)


This is a Band from my hometown again
Fettes Brot (Fat Bread) with the song "Nordish by nature" funny and sung in a noth german dialect.


Das Bo with "'tuelich, 'tuerlich (sicher, Dicker!)" (sure, sure- for sure, man!)

I don't like this guy Bushido at all. He is one of those guys who come from middle class, but pretend to be ghetto...just because it sells. But you have to give him credit for ythis one: good production, very clever, great music.

The beat sounds good. I didn't understand any of it but basing on their actions, I can't blame the woman in the first video to leave him. He didn't give any importance to his woman, he's mad about her leaving, he should have showed her importance to his life. As the saying says "Don't know what you got till its gone."


The second video is a bit diffrent than most hiphop videos I've seen. He's a bit dressy, kinda remind me of DR. Shephard (Lisa's dreamboy), cute video.


The third video is confusing. Are they Germans? The girl and one of the dudes look like Asian. Wow! My golly, did they just cussed at America? Why?


On the fourth video, why Fat Bread? That's a funny name for a group, but I tell you though you will always remember the name, its unusual. I thought for a minute they were what we call here "boy band." Different performance style.


The fifth video is not very much different than our hiphop videos here, that's the reason why I don't watch the hiphop MTV. They sure are very pretty ladies, guys' eyes for sure are glued to their computer screen right now.


The sixth one says its no longer available. Anyway, the way you described him sounds like Ja rule in the US.


The seventh is good too but I like the eighth better. For a minute, they look like regular guys then they turn into these gangtas. They look like the guys that you shouldn't mess around with.


The last one is hilarious. I don't know if their costumes have anything to do with the song. *smiles*


Anyway, I'm not a very big hiphop listener, so its hard to tell who has better hiphop performers, your guys or our guys! LOL! We'll just ask our co-members what they think. If you like hiphop I heard that a lot of Jamaican and Spanish hiphop is doing a lot of progressive styles.


Thank you for posting the videos, Nils. I enjoyed watching all of them. Too bad one of them is unaccessible.

There are mostly 2 hip hop- things going on in Germany: 1) a thing we call Proll Rap. People pretend to be hardcore gangsta- rappers, mostly very stupid, violent, homophobic, women opressing sh*t.
2) I would call it "the thinking man's hip hop". Intelligent or funny stuff with an eye for excellent lyrics.

For the first video: he is also blaming himself...don't worry.
The Fanta4 are the biggest act in German hip hop, they usually have very clever (= expensive) videos, very well done. There is a lot of excellent stuff from them. Only the first record and single "Die da"...will make you laugh hard. Because at that time german hip hop was searching for an identity, but still copied the US rappers so much.

The third video...yes they are.
The "aisan" guy is Thomas Haas (typical german name) the other guy is Moses Pelham (son of a US soldier, based in Germany). The girls is just some bimbo model, lip -sincing and only in there for the looks. She is a beauty, though!
And they cursed America, because they are really tough guys!!! ;-)

Fettes Brot /Fat Bread "phat" being a hip hop expression, was adapted into german as "fett". So something very cool is "fett".
They had actually to battle a kind of "Boyband of german hip hop"- image for years. But believe me: these guys are far to clever, far to intelligent to be in with Backstreet Boys. Nowadays, thay are one of the most respected and best selling acts in Germany...and deserve it!
Lot's of extermely funny videos by them.

The 5th...is actually to be seen as a comic version of US hip hop videos. The guy rapping (Das Bo) once said, he wanted to do a video with all the girls from "Rent-a-bitch"! And so he did.

"...the guys you shouldn't mess aroun with"? They will be glad to hear. I met 2 of them once. They are the nicest guys you can imagine and the videos they do are mostly very ironic and funny! The second one is actually made in Hamburgs red light district!

The last one...well...it's a happy song and has a very "be positive" message...so the costumes kind of fit!

Proll rap? It happens a lot here in America. There's only one rapper here that I mostly like, its Eminem. If you heard his songs, you'll understand why I like him. His life experience is very depressing, but he's got it good now. His rich!

I do love the making of the Fanta4 videos, yes, I can tell that they took so much time and a lot of money to make their videos. Most of the videos you showed are kinda similar to our hiphop videos here, costly.

Now, on the video with Thomas Haas and Moses Pelham, you said "they cursed America, because they are really tough guys!!!" Who did you refer "tough guys" to?

BTW, I love Backstreet Boys and I always do. 2 of these guys are from Kentucky, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson, they are cousins, one of my friends used to live across Brian's house.

I must tell you though, I stopped watching MTV because of those "booty dance." LOL! I love the beat of hiphop music, I just can't stand the videos they put out.

And when it comes to music, I listen to the lyrics, then the beat is kinda go with it later. If I liked lyrics of the song, I search for more songs from the same artist and see if they have more great songs. Its hard to tell who are my favorite singers these days.

Awwwww!!!! The babies are so cute on "Geboren" (Born) by Fanta 4" video!! I love the beat, it sounds more like pop than rap.

"Hamma'" by Culcha Candela is too sexy! Its almost like crossover of Raggae and hiphop in a good way. The women are too sexy for my taste. LOL!
