The conflict of selflessness and caring for oneself

I have tried the selflessness route and found out that to be a good example to my children, I needed to show them that I care about ME! I realized I never wanted to teach them not to consider oneself in all things! It just is not constructive to our lives. I then began to start the journey of caring for me and still be caring about those around me! Certainly a challenging journey, to say the least!
