Windows XP

first of all I Love Commercial OS's Simply Cause it's support and Feedbacks plus Client Services and these Help and Support Fat Package that makes You sure that you have no problem using you OS.

But after I saw Ubuntu the Ranking Changed a little and My evaluation to OS it self changed So that's my Ranking for Best 3 OS's I Used :

1-Mac OSX

I still Support Commercial OS but Mac OSX is Not like any OS I used from it's support and the security ,the easy of use, the Solid and Flixable UNIX Base which I fall in love of it, and if you're web Designer or Developer, or Graphic Designer or Animator, Sound or Video Editor then Mac OSX is One for you without disscution.

2-Linux (Ubuntu ,SUSE) Distreputions

These are really dream OS's if your budget to start your Bussines is low ,
They are now have Interface more Easy and Flixable than Microsoft OS's
It's only problem is the new users who didn't use to use Consol Commands and SUDO(Admin) Mode Options will not feel it easy so it need more GUI support to gain More Major Companies Support and New Users,
BUT, It's still the ideal OS for Servers and Networks Adminstration without Commpetetion.

3-Microzeft Sorry Microsoft Windows

It's still the dominator for most populer OS all over World and it won
The trust of major Software and Hardware Labs and that is there only advantage but nothing special about Windows OS as Invintion if we can call it that it will be DirectX library and any thing done in microsoft wasn't creative enough to challange the High IQ Users unlike Linux and Mac OSX.

REDHAT Linux is the best Operating System.

Is that a proper list? Were is mac OSX ? Have ever see one running?

Best OS for what? free cell and minesweeper? host a webserver? for granny to email the little ones?

I like to use MAC OSX when i need/want a GUI and Slackware for the rest of the time.

BTW, XP is my flavor from Redmond, and as far as I tested (its still a beta) W7 isnt much more the Vista SP2, really I dont see whats all this hype around it.
Have you tried Win. Server 2008? if you did you will be disappointed with Vista2/win 7. Yes server 2008 is impressively fast(er then Vista2/win 7)

It has to be UNIX for its security reason. Its more robust than any windows OS.

You r ryte Yan, Its the best os u can find now, Unlike vista, it never slows down the system. And due to extra drivers installed, its faster than opensolaris and linux(all versions)

Windows XP is the very best OS on the market today and I don't believe anything will become available in the near future that will match or surpass it's performance. Not even the anticipated 'Windows 7' operating system due to be released in 2010.

There just isn't anything else on the market yet that performs as well as XP does and I will not be switching to anything else unless something does - which I hope isn't too far away...

Different operating systems have different use ,i think .if only funny ,i think Window XP;if only developed ,i think linux.so it is hard to say which is the best .

XP is very easy to use Os, with a desirable speed for teh common man(unlike Vista, which need at least a 2GB platform to run smoothly)..but thin with it is that it need a separate driver CD, which is not the case with Linux... Linux is also good with less viral attacks... most win32 viruses are visible in Linux as the file extensions differ in the 2 OS... so u r able to just get rid of the threat by pressing shift+del... isnt that cool?

On my part, i think that Fedora linux is the best if u r doing sum projects or so,, if u r in multimedia field, Mandriva linux is the best!

i am going to go with xp.
I have vista now and spent a lot of money for my new system..
I have had it for over a year and it is running ok.
But not as well as my xp system did.
everytime i upgrade any software on my computer - vista seems to be unhappy for a while..

seems like u got to upgrade your system to windows 7 ( windows azure ) rather than install xp bavk. the prototype version seems to work very fine with systems which had vista before ( according to resources )... i dint try out windows 7 though...

i will prefer Windows Xp it's easy,comfortable 2 use even a nw user uses this OS with ease it's user friendly
