So in the interest of starting a "touchy" subject, anyone care to share a vice, if they have one, and post thoughts about how to overcome them and/or get suggestions from others?
For me, as much as I've tried to kick the habit, I'm a smoker. I know I'm not supposed to harm the temple of the Lord (my body) but, truthfully, I like smoking despite its side effects. (A classic example of the flesh warring with the spirit.) I do plan on trying to quite beginning of June. The reason not sooner is because I'm going to Florida end of May for a convention and since I'm Canadian, I don't have access to some of the US brands I enjoy.
My current plan of attack is to go on a "smoking fast" as an honor to the Lord. If that's not motivation enough, I don't know what is. But my heart's sincere in wanting to do that for Him so I figure He should help me through it.
Anyway, my confession is listed here for all to see. Thoughts?

No sweat, Michael. My remark was sarcastic anyway.
The intent with the post was just to encourage others to talk it out, work it out, all that stuff.
I know what you mean about being reclusive. I know if I had my way, I'd stay in my office (I work from home) and not go out. Even nowadays I find going out even for running errands a pain purely because I like being at home. For both of us, it is true that the enemy wants us to think we're better off on our own. And that's usually when he comes in and tries to take us out.

Pornography.... A vice that affects over 50% of Christian men (at least the honest ones). I've seen two or three different polls done on the subject, one of them being PromiseKeepers. And the percentages are NOT encouraging. I myself battled with it for years and found several internet sites that offer help.
